PlayStation Remote Setup

To pair the Sentinel to a Sony PlayStation 4 or 5 console on the same network, follow these steps. Press and hold front panel Power Button (1/2 to 1 second) to cancel setup at any time. Each step will be color coded for actions taken on the Sentinel or taken on the PlayStation Console.

Step 1: Click on Start button below
The following login screen should be displayed

Entering your Login ID and Password

Step 3: Double click on the PS Console “button” and the registration screen for that console will be displayed

Select the firmware (update) version and type of PS Console. For most PS4s this will be 8+. Click on the PSID field.

Step 2: . The following web page should appear.

Click on the Bookmark icon (star) on the top right portion of the screen. The Bookmark saved message will appear and the Chiaki app will appear after a few seconds with a PlayStation console shown.

Step 4: Press the front panel Reset button and the PSID field will fill automatically.

Step 5: Setup the Sony PlayStation console to enable PS Remote Play and to get Pin Code to Pair
Power and login to the PlayStation console and enable registration as described below for PS4 or 5:
PS4 - From the function screen, go to Settings > Remote Play Connection Settings, and then turn on Enable Remote Play. From the function screen, go to Settings > Account Management > Activate as Your Primary PS4, and then select Activate. You can enable this setting on only one PS4 console for each account.
PS5 - From the home screen, select Settings > System > Remote Play-> Enable Remote Play.

An 8 digit pin code will be displayed on the screen. Write this down as it will be needed in pairing. You have about 5 minutes to pair the PS4 or PS5. Return back to the Sentinel.

Step 7: Select which users are Paired with the PlayStation.

After the PS Remote Play setup logs out, click on the User buttons one by one to enable each user access to the PlayStation and PS Remote Play.

Click the Power Off button the screen to exit and end setup.

Step 6: Pair Sentinel to PlayStation on Chiaki

Enter the 8 Digit Pin Code provided by the PlayStation Console in the PIN field. Click Register. PlayStation image should now confirm it is registered. Press the front panel Reset button to close the application.

Note: If this fails, either you entered the wrong Pin code or the PlayStation timed out. Press and hold the Sentinel Power Button to log out and try again.
